For example, our first converstation over the phone, while I was still living in Poland and Bry called me and you wanted to talk to me and I thought it was still Bry so I was speaking polish the whole time, not realizing till AFTER the fact, that I was talking to YOU... Remember?
You were laughing the whole time and didn't get upset...
I knew right then that you would be VERY special to me!
And then when I came to the States and felt So lonely and homesick, you were ALWAYS there, making the BEST meals EVER and always being interested in what I got to say and being open to ANY polish influences in your cooking (like this chicken liver thing for Thanksgiving that you MADE).
But mostly from this first period I remember... Your genuine and heart felted HUGS that you have NO idea how I needed!
I LOVED you so much for that!
Also, there were endless Rumikuub nights with you that I HAVE to mention...
Of course, you couldn't play OR win, but it was the time and SO much attention that you gave me that melt my heart... :)
Do you remember Thanksgiving in Indiana, when I got SO upset with everything and everybody? When you (and Grandma) simply sat down next to me and started talking about your youth telling me funny stories from your life that took all my sadness and anger away?
I DO remember EVERY special moment like this...
And will cherish them!!!
And I just want you to know, how much I love you and how VERY special you are to me and how grateful I am that I got to know you and get the chance to spend so much time with you!
I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!!
